the last time i went to this park before the trip was for Chocolate&Girl skateboards' Dumbass Meets Badass tour in the summer of 06. Too bad i rolled my ankle few days before and couldn't skate the park....and just sat there and watched others tearing it up. So when kerns was telling me that he was going to make a trip down to the park...i was stoked. We had a i think 50-seat bus that day with bout 30+ kids....supposedly leaving the shop at 8am but as usual we always make sure last minutes signups make it...so we left 30 mins later....this was my 1st Revival skatetrip...on the bus. we had the same bus driver that drove for the last trip to philly woodward skatepark...he's a real cool dude...we had bunch of skatevids with us for the ride....and when anthony was given the authority to handle the dvd player...he put in the ice-cream team skatevid in, which most of us were complaining bout cos of the only prolly 10 mins of skating and the rest of it just overated stuffs....
apparently, neither us nor the bus driver knew the way to the park, so Kerns had to call pitcrew and get Rodney...one of the employees to meet up with us at PitCrew skateshop and lead us the way to the park. Bout 2 hrs later we were at PitCrew and met Rodney who took us to the park. The park was open 2 hrs earlier than regular hrs for us to skate, and it was fun cos there was nobody there but us. bout 5 or maybe 10 mins after we started skating, the attention turned to the center of the park when everyone was like owwww shittt....i saw josh stood up from a fall holding his head and blood dripping all over. he looked totally lost...we walked up slowly picked up his board, looked like he didnt know what happened. He was doing a axle stall dropping in and caught a crack and slam hit head on the solid concrete park. it didnt look that bad until you see blood started to drip off his head like a fountain....thats an overstatement. But seriously, it was pretty bad. You know how that animation is on the Toy Machine vid, where the cartoon got its head cut off and blood splashes? something like that....so the park dude, ran over to him...i thought was going to help him out, but was actually cleaning up the blood spot before it's there permanently. It was so bad that kerns and rodney had to take him to the hospital....Yoda was then freaked out that he was done skating. didnt know he was that sissy....we continued our session regardless. shit happens.
as everyone was pretty much warmed up....the kids just skate their butt off. stuvert, strausser, joey, anthony, juan, santos, doug and of course the man....chad cramer were ripping the park....every section was skated. the kidney bowl, pool, pyramid, manny pad, hubba, quarter pipes, hips, ledges.....everybody was having fun....except for josh who was at the hospital and kerns accompanying him. Juan was there for his mission to nail nollie bsbigflip over the hip..battling Brandon with his everything bigspin.....stuvert definitely killed it on the rail with fs blunt, nose blunt, and grinds....joey meck did a kickflip bs 5o down the big hubba like nothing....fs feeble the rail....and again stuvert was the only kid that hit the rail...with a fs 5o...nobody really saw it. so then he did it again...on film!i just wonder how he skates with he's super tore up nikes...with he's toes popping out?and still nail a fs 5o down the handrail? i like doug's buttery smith grind around the curve of the quarter and kramer's bs tail around the pool...just flawless....and his shuvit tail revert on the quarter.RESPECT....i just satisfied my craving to skate the whole park from last summer. shiffty manual and a nose manual down the 5-6 foot drop, nollie bs heel and bs flip over the hip. bs 5o the box on the pyramid and just cruise around the park....didnt wanna fuck myself up since its concrete and am so spoilt by lititz's slick ground where i can just drag or power slide my wheels off a trick....
we stayed at the park for like 4 hrs and was getting ready to leave at 2. kerns and josh didnt get back until half an hour before. josh had a 6 stitches on the side of his eyebrow...and got back on his board and skated for a lil bit. thats the spirit....he said he puked a couple times at the hospital due to the concusion he had. fortunately he remembered shit that happened. right bout 2.30 we left the park for lancaster....stop at kfc on the way back, and yoda against all odds found a beer shop and got a 30 pack for us over 21 to drink on the way back. beer is always good for after sessions....the trip back was way quicker than it was going there....within 2 hrs, i down bout 6 beers and was fucking hammered. couldnt even stand still on the skateboard and luckily not arrested for public drunkeness on the street of lancaster....good times!!
Big ups to all ya'll that came for the trip....next up we have satori wheels and creation skateboards pro demo at county park on 7/17/07 starting with a autograph signing at 5pm at Revival then head up to county for the demo and best trick contests...there will be lights on so no worries bout darkness...checkout flyers on my profile and also Revival's. Red Bull manny mania will be on 8/5/07!!!
