06/02: saturday

the night before, the deal was to meet up at the shop at 8am, and leave for york by 8.30 but nobody was ready...i called kerns, he's still in bed at his girl's. so i drove down to the shop around 8.30, stuvert was already waiting for us with his dad infront of isaac. when i got in the shop......tito, keir, eric, dirt, randy, and doug stayed over that nite. . we eventually ready to leave at about 10am. 2 hrs behind schedule..stacked all the things we need in juan's truck, my car, and kern's and still had to drive to kern's house, unload some stuff and move it to his truck.

on the way to york, on the highway, kerns pulled over, and i thought there was a real big deal...but he just wanted a cd from juan. Juan was bitching bout it all day like a dirty gay kid! we didnt even know our way to the event, and got lost for a good half an hour around york...fortunately chris was there to show us the way. holla chris!!

it was like 90 degrees all day at the event, everyone else's was there when we got there around noon. they got some nice setup with a perfect mellow kicker, q-pipe, rails, boxes and lotsa skateboarders. i really liked the bands that were playing...and the whole event went real well..there were like at least 3 news networks covering the event. we brought with us kramer's 30-inches q-pipe, and a funbox. the surface was pretty rough, and i got a nice bloody elbow from taking part in the longest ollie contest.some dude won it with a 90+ inches long ollie. the free red bull that we gave out was out within an hour...we got everything set up nice, the event was an all day free skateboarding other than the ground breaking ceremony, with shops/teams, and board co's coming from all over the east coast. keir and eric was tearing it up...skating all day in the heat...seber, who still owes me a 5 minute run was skating for awhile, something that i wouldve never expected.

it started to drizzle around 5.30 and i was so ready to leave. after packing, we left around 6pm. on the way back, we stop at columbia to check the some spots... exiciting news to come for columbia
